A rock-cut chala type of monolithic hut is beautifully carved on a big granite boulder. This temple is said to be dedicated to the goddess ‘Ranachandi’. The goddess signifying the war aspect of Gauri, is a tutelary deity of Cachari kings. The roof of the temple has curvilinear eaves showing Bengal’s architectural influence. There are four false doors on the walls of the temple. An inscription is inscribed on the monument is dated back to 17th century CE.
